Forthcoming book written and illustrated by John Searl, entitled A Brush With The Avon. It traces his years' of fishing the Avon and Stour and documents his many outstanding catches made between 1968 to the present day. It includes the capture of huge fish of almost every species these rivers contain and the many interesting characters he has met and fished with along the way. This book is limited to 1,000 numbered copies of which, the first 100 are bound in finest quality leather and come in their own slip-case. Each leather-bound book is also signed by the author. It contains over 230 pages featuring many of John’s outstanding illustrations plus colour photographs taken over a 40 year period.
